Darin Oliver
Finance, regulation & technology
Darin Oliver builds and scales businesses at the intersection of finance, regulation, and technology. A quantitative-finance entrepreneur, former Chicago Mercantile Exchange member, securities-firm founder, Wall Street trader, and finance professor, he brings more than three decades of experience across trading, investment banking, market structure, and financial technology.
His work includes building and operating a FINRA-registered securities firm, founding a high-frequency trading business, raising approximately $2 billion in capital for hedge funds, and leading the acquisition of Bernard Madoff’s market-making business during the financial crisis. He advises businesses operating in complex and regulated markets on capital formation, corporate transactions, regulatory strategy, and growth.
Through Simply Alpha Capital, he advises operators and investors navigating regulated gaming markets. The firm supports licensing, regulatory strategy, market entry, and operating structure across U.S. real-money and sweepstakes gaming, as well as selected international markets.
